I haven't found any info on what type of threading a 1/4" MFL is, so I went out any played at the hardware store.
Turn out that 1/4" 45 degree SAE flare fittings are able to seal with either side of a 1/4" MFL/FFL. See McMaster part# 50635K532.
This is important for my CO2 distribution setup as attached. With only one CO2 tank, I was forced to switch between supplying my beer gun, and the driving pressure of the keg. By adding a tee to the line, I can carbonate and fill bottles simultaneously. As a bonus, I can carbonate two kegs at once OR have a gas and liquid ball lock fitting if I'm filling a keg with uncarbonated beer and want to fill (or bubble) CO2 up from the bottom of the keg.
Hopefully this helps, it's one of those things that is needlessly glossed over.
