1/3 HP Penguin Chillers Glycol Chiller. Used for one batch of beer. Additional control unit and thermometer included for same price.

Local pickup preferred, but will ship in original packaging. Got this from their refurb section of the website.

Every last post in the For Sale Forum seems to be for something used for one batch of beer .

It may be useful for folks to know the purchase date and how does the warranty work for Penguin's refurbished units?

I purchased this in May 2019. I decided I like the form factor of the SS chiller more.

The refurbished warranty is exactly the same as new. 1yr warranty.

What would be the incentive to purchase your refurbished AND used glycol chiller for $750 when I can buy a brand new one, shipped to my house for the same price? (icemaster 100). Not trying to troll... honest question.

The icemaster is $800. It’s also got an 8gal reservoir, which is going to be pretty expensive to fill up, and slower to recover as well.

Again, not trying to be argumentative nor troll your post but the icemaster 100 on ebay sold directly from a homebrew store is 759 including tax and shipping and its a brand new item. And you get 5% back in ebay dollars....

I already have a 5 gallon bucket of undiluted glycol, so that is not an issue for me, personally, though it may be a valid point to/for some. Your comment on being slower to recover makes no sense. A smaller reservoir is going to change temps MUCH faster than one with a larger one. The larger one will cycle on and off less often, since the temp will be more stable.

Leblais, if you’re interested in a glycol chiller it seems like you have two options: buy one somewhere else like the one on eBay if it’s so great a deal, or you can make this seller an offer for his. Otherwise if you’re not interested let this guy make his sale, he can ask whatever he would like for it. If you just want to brag about what a great deal you found on eBay there is a forum for that (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/forums/homebrewing-deals.284/)

Otherwise I would recommend you re-read the forum rules (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/classified-rules.255533/), specifically number 4.

Good luck with your sale, Zixxer10R, it seems like a nice unit for someone.

OK, how about I change the price to $725? Does that make you interested in the sale?
