    fermenting bucket moldy outside

I had a bunch of wine making stuff in a storage unit for over a year and as I was clearing it out I realized the outside of the plastic fermenting buckets seems to be mold or somthing... should I just clean them up with some bleach or other cleaner? Or toss them and buy new ones ?

What do you see in these photos? Infection? Sediment?

After a few months in my basement, I noticed some of my homebrew bottles had stuff floating in them. I've divided the stuff into three categories. I would really appreciate somebody telling me what I'm looking at in each of these! These bottles were new PET bottles. There was also a white mold...

    Does my beer have mold??

I am brewing a bluemoon clone and noticed some white lines near the glass ridge that seem odd. It is still fermenting well. I’m wondering what these white lines are and if my beer is still safe to drink or if I should dump it?

Possible Mold!! Please Help ID and Fix!

So checked my secondary Carboy today and found something on top. At first I thought it might just be left over hops from the dry hop, but it seems to be increasing in size and abundance. Does anyone have a suggestion or solution? Thanks!

    Infected Beer or other

I noted for the last two batches of beer some matter floating at the top of my bottled beer (see photo). It appeared 2-3 weeks after bottling. It is in two batches - these batches have 2 things in common. 1 is that I used fizz drops instead of mixed in priming sugar and 2 - I re-used sanitizer...

The Dreaded "..is it mold?" Question

About a year ago I did my first 3 or 4 batches, then got away from it. Really want to get back into it and started my first 2 gallon batch over the weekend - it's been 5 days in 1F. Bought a SCOBY from a local independent tea shop, very thick 3/4" or so. Used a very strong black tea (Trader...

Is this mold? A rookie needs help!

Hi! I'm so excited to be a part of this forum! This is the second time this scoby has grown this kind of stuff. :( First time I was advised to toss the tea, rinse off scoby, try again. I'm thinking now I need to toss scoby and start afresh. Picture gives context of where I'm keeping it. No place...

    Moldy Strawberry Beer!

I made BM's Cream of Three Crops a few weeks ago. I got terrible efficiency, and on top of that; I didn't cook the corn before adding it to the mash. the result was a strangely rice-starchy beer with an OG of 1.022 and an FG of 1.014. I used WYeast European Ale 1338, and that is supposed to...

    Mold????

I went to bottle my beer today and noticed that there is mold in the airlock... I used vodka in my airlock and there isn't any mold that I can see growing in my beer. It's currently in a Better Bottle Carboy and I'm not sure if I should go ahead a bottle it... I don't want to bottle it and wait...

Ever have black mold in your keezer?

So I open my keezer today and find black mold everywhere. I mixed up a bleach solution, and hose it down with the bleach solution. Let it sit for 30 minutes, rinse, and then hit it with a slightly higher then normal solution of starsan. The mold looks like it is gone, but it was everywhere...
