Heineken MiniKeg

OK, so I've got this Heineken MiniKeg (5L) that I'd like to reuse if possible. Doing a search returned some results but not to my specific question. How do you disassemble it? Are the kits shows here: http://www.northernbrewer.com/mini-kegs.html the way to go? Anyone else use them regularly with good success?

Well, I got the cap off of it but there looks to be some sort device inside... probably a CO2 dispenser... so its probably not going to work. Does anyone know of another brand that would work better?

I started out with mini-kegs, but had too many problems with leakage and the taps breaking (although it looks like the German system I was using is no longer sold). If the kegs you have are using a bung in top and a built-in tap, you should be able to use a Phils Minikeg Gasser with them.

I saw the Heineken kegs in the store and looked it over real well. It did not look like it was reusable.

They are not designed the same as the mini-kegs from Germany (of which I have about 19 of...)

I do not recommend them.
