Can someone help me identify this vine/berry?

It's actually climbing a small hedge in the front of the house. (In San Antonio). No previous garden there at least for a while based on the way the hedges are set. Here's a picture I a flower that opened this morning: Closer: I'll reach out to the ag extension office and see what they think...

Can someone help me identify this vine/berry?

Wife and I moved into a house in December and saw this vine just the other day with a berry(?) on it. I'm curious what it is and what I might be able to do with it (or if I should just pull it out) Thanks!

    Raspberry Pints display size

I'm debating buying one of the 7 or 10 inch displays from Amazon that can hook to my RPi for displaying the RaspBerry Pints application, but I can't get a feel for if this would be large enough to read. Anyone happen to have stuck a small display on their Pi and run raspberry pints willing to...

    Show us your Kegerator

Here's my 'rustic' keezer. I rebuilt it from a standard through the collar setup. Managed to only buy screws and new casters for this setup.

    Gas manifold, 1 plugged?

Thanks for the quick answers. Sounds like I have a some work ahead of me. As to the check valves, I thought they were there... But sure enough I can stick a skewer all the way in without hitting anything. Can't remember if it was from Northern or Midwest, their online stock looks the same as...

    Gas manifold, 1 plugged?

I bought a 4 way manifold a while back only to realize that the 3rd away from the inlet port is partially plugged (?) It does move air though, but maybe at 1/4 the volume of the other 3. I was able to "open" it up by removing the hose and inserting a small metal rod. This helped temporarily...

San Antonio WTT pin lock for ball lock

I scaled down my keezer, and thought my pin lock kegs would fit 5. Turns out I have poor spacial reasoning and can only fit 4. Looking for someone who would be willing to trade pin lock for original ball lock (not converted). I understand ball locks are more expensive/desired, so let's work...

    concept question.

I already have a collar tall enough to have a full size 5 gallon keg on the hump. I've just have been trying to come up with a way to have my 5th keg on the outside of the keezer with a cost effective enough method to serve it at a decent temp.. I might splice all my old beerline together...

    mounting fans in keezer

I went a different direction with mine, I got a piece of 2' long 4" foam core pvc from Lowes and simply screwed a computer fan to the top. I then drilled a few 1" holes near the bottom of the pipe. The fan pulls UP, with a modified thermostat mercury switch to turn the fan off (and in the...

    concept question.

I had an older chest freezer I used for my keezer until the compressor died. I then purchased a new 7.2 freezer. My only complaint is that I can't fit all 5 of my kegs in it. As the kegs are staggered, I have space between that is too small to use for much. Would it possibly work to take 4" pvc...

    Vintner's Harvest & Apfelwein

I should probably clarify, the 96oz can that for a 5 gallon batch of wine recommends 11 lbs of sugar. I typically just the 2 lbs of corn sugar for a 5 gallon batch of aplfewein. If adapting this, I am thinking about using the 3 gallon recipe, but substituting 2 gallons of apple juice or...

    Vintner's Harvest & Apfelwein

I've been lurking on these threads for quite some time reading mostly the DIY. I make beer for myself, but like to do simple apfelwein to share with friends. With that said, I'm thinking about attempting to do a peach apfelwein using a can of Vintner's Harvest Peach wine base. I am having...

Heat Sink in a Coffin Box?

What would they be connected to? Heat sinks work by drawing heat from something and dissipating it through the surface area of the fins. (Think computer processor heat sink) just having them in the coffin with air circulating wouldn't do much I imagine.

Chest Freezer to "Keezer" --The Broke College student Edition

I was in your shoes about a year ago...I started mine with a $50 CL chest freezer as well. Had to buy a drill and borrow a circular saw to get the collar made. I ended up using a hole saw connected to a socket wrench because I was too impatient to wait for the drill to charge enough. I made...
