I bought a 4 way manifold a while back only to realize that the 3rd away from the inlet port is partially plugged (?)

It does move air though, but maybe at 1/4 the volume of the other 3. I was able to "open" it up by removing the hose and inserting a small metal rod. This helped temporarily, but the problem persists.

My assumption is the Teflon tape or paste was applied a little too heavily? Any ideas? Should I remove the valve completely to take a better look, and if so, should I use Teflon tape, or another paste to re seal?

I'd simply remove it and see what the issue is. Teflon tape it back in, no biggie.

Thanks for the quick answers. Sounds like I have a some work ahead of me.

As to the check valves, I thought they were there... But sure enough I can stick a skewer all the way in without hitting anything. Can't remember if it was from Northern or Midwest, their online stock looks the same as what I have.

I bought a second manifold to chain to our first so we could actually use all 8 of our taps. I bought the second one on Amazon and had read feedback saying all Teflon tape was wrapped on outside of connection thereby doing nothing. When I received the manifold mine was the same way so I unscrewed each of the outlets from the aluminum block took their tape off the external threads and then taped it properly and reassembled. A little effort on my part but everything at that point worked as it should and I've had no leaks.
