Guide to set internal chest freezer thermostat to >32F; Eliminate external control

If I was a coarse adjustment screw for this Evalet freezer, where would I be? :) Any pointers? Rip off the red cover on the back? Rip off the white front that the fine adjustment screw attaches to?

How to guesttimate Original Gravity after adding cane sugar

Of course its not a pilsner. It's probably not imperial either if you look up the definition and history. Many people would not even call it beer. And it is strictly against the german purity law a.k.a reinheitsgebot too. But I enjoy experimenting and pushing the limits, and this one...

Does this CO2 tank look suitable for kegging?

Nice - thanks for that observation - by the time I'd get the adapter and fill it up with CO2, it'd end up costing me the same as getting a prefilled bottle from the Gas Pro downtown :)

Hey - sorry - I am totally new to kegging, so throwing this out there for you experienced ones... I just came across this ad at my local craigslist when I was looking for a CO2 tank for my upcoming kegging system. It's a very good price and looks like good shape, but I wonder about the...

Using an Air Compressor to Fill a CO2 Tank yourself?

So I came across this article "How to Use an Air Compressor to Fill a CO2 Tank". Anyone here done/doing this? Another concern I guess would be if the air coming from a compressor bought at Home Depot or so would produce pure/clean enough CO2 to go into your beer?
