    off flavor in blackberry mead

    I have a batch of blackberry mead that is about 6 months old. It has a bizarre aftertaste that reminds me of cherry robitussin. It has definitely mellowed since the last time I tasted it. Is this possibly a characteristic that will fade with age?

    how to fix a lower than expected OG

    I brewed an all grain heffeweisen today and the Target OG should have been about 1.050 It ended up at around 1.034. It is in the fermenter now is there a way to fix the gravity without messing up the flavor of the beer? A pound of dextrose maybe?

    wine krausen?

    I am pitching the yeast in my first batch of wine tomorrow. with the fruit in the fermenter there isn't much head space at all. I have made ciders with very little bubble build up. but was wondering how how much head space is suggested and how much bubbling i can expect?
