    OG was 1.052, its day 4 since I repitched. I was figuring to do a d rest from Friday to Sunday than re racking into a carboy on Monday night. Should I peel back the top say Friday and take a reading? Then if the readings good proceed on....

    I have a what I believe is the 36qt stainless Bayou Classic pot. Is it worth drilling these and installing a thermometer? If so should I also install a kettlevalve?

    UPDATE so i repitched, the sample is bubbling away with alot of movement and alot of krausen. The primary is beginning to show signs of krausen. Its been about 22 hrs.

    evening gentleman, i have a spare 1/6 keg, is there anyway i can use that to "bottle" my homebrews? If not is there a way to convert a corny keg so i can use it in my Summit kegerator? Ive always bottled but i want tostart hooking up my homebrews to my keg, next stepis to convert my tower...

    Lol, I didn't literally mean garbage. That sounds good though, I may just pick up some vials anyway and pitch them. If I can't get liquid, can I pitch dry yeast? How many yeast packs you think would be needed?

    Absolutely no signs of krausen. what gives?? temp on sticker was about 44-45, outside temp was 43

    Well guys I just finished up my second batch last night, a brown ale. I had some people over watching me, so my concentration was lacking. I tossed in the bittering haops(cascade) with the boiling hops and I also forgot to pull out some beer for my satelite. Live and learn from this...

    hello all, new to the forum. glad to be here! i brewed my first batch over the holidays an amber ale kit my wife got me. totally hooked now, going to brew up a brown ale this weekend. lokk forward to gathering as much as info as i can from you here, as this is a great hobby!!
