Nukatap Flow Control Faucets - Slow Pours

I would say it takes 1.5 to 2 times longer to put a standard pint that a standard faucet.

Nukatap Flow Control Faucets - Slow Pours

Ok, let me clarify. I have the original Nukatap flow control faucets. Gen1. I replaced the shuttle with the new gen2 version which is backwards compatible with the gen1. The spring in question is designed specifically for the gen2 shuttles. The faucets are mounted to Intertap shanks on my...

Nukatap Flow Control Faucets - Slow Pours

    1. These cannot be installed backwards, or else it would not go together. The rubber washers on my gen1 broke, so I "upgraded" to the gen2. I bought new lines, so when I swap those out, I will take out the self closing spring to see if that helps, but I doubt it. 2. I have bottled off the...

Nukatap Flow Control Faucets - Slow Pours

Yeah, had no problem with balance before putting these faucets back on. I only use the flow control option when filling a bottle from the tap to bring it somewhere. Much easier than messing with serving pressure, degassing the keg, etc or buying a bottle filler.

Nukatap Flow Control Faucets - Slow Pours

I have had Nukatap flow control faucets for some time, not sure why originally I swapped them out for standard Intertaps. However, recently saw that they came out with a 2nd gen for the Nukatap flow controls and that the new internals were compatible with the first gen, and for less than $20...

    Sparging when biab?

When I use to sparge in my Anvil, I used a $10 hot plate from Walmart and a 3 gallon pot I had around. Its honestly not worth the time in a AIO BIAB. Make up you efficiencies with grain crush and water profile. I also "dunk" the grain basket every 10 minutes, I usually only mash for 40...

Pale Ale - Need Yeast Suggestion

Very fruity from what I can recall. Pretty unremarkable I suppose as that's all I remember about it. That reminds me, I still have that packet of S-33 laying around

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

Tapped last weekend and I can’t get enough of it. I wish I would have tried this 15 years ago.

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

Tested my Vienna lager yesterday and kegged it today. FG 1.010. Hydrometer sample was clear, no real haze at all and tastes clean. I’m real excited to condition it, but tastes great right now. I want to let it sit 30 days, but I will settle for 14. I’m going to carb while it is...

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

This is my first attempt and I only pitched one 14 days ago. I going to check the FG tomorrow.

    Northern Brewer - Buyer Beware

I honestly don't know. I do not pay attention to any of their “deals” anymore.

    Northern Brewer - Buyer Beware

Even with 20% off, their prices are still high. The only time I ordered from them in the recent past was when they use to do their 3 for $60 kits sales, but now they only on that for extract brews.

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

I brewed the Jim Palmer Vienna Lager kit from More Beer with 34/70 today. Pitched at 64 and plan to let it ride for 2 or 3 weeks, keg, then condition for a month or until a tap opens. This is my first attempt at this. Excited to see how it goes.

    Fermentation Chamber Build Question

Bringing my own thread back from the dead because I had to put the project on hold until now. I still have the old kegerator, so I found a mini fridge. The only problem is that the person who had it before me gorilla glued the door gasket to the frame of the fridge, and not back onto the...

    Make IPA Clear Again

It's funny. Heady Topper really is far removed from NEIPA by today's standards. To me its more of an unfiltered DIPA at this point. Bitter and Dank. Still delicious.

    Dry hopping in serving keg

I keg hop in a 1-gallon paint strainer bag or stainless "Keg Hop" cylinder all the time. Some have gone as long as 4 months with no ill effects to the beer.

    DryHop for 0 Days

Probably a typo. What type of beer is it or can you share the recipe?

    Never had a NEIPA

Same with saying NEIPA is a fruity cocktail. Some are fruity, some are not. RDWHAHB.....on February 1st

    Never had a NEIPA

Sure, a beer cocktail, with fruit. Most commercial NEIPA does not have fruit added, just a specific combo of hops that give it fruity character. Yes, some have fruit added, but not a "traditional". Same goes for lactose, sour, and any other nonsense someone wants to throw in there. Do I...
