New Jersey Southern NJ - 2-tap Coleman Xtreme Jockey Box

Up for sale is my home made jockey box. I built this in 2018 using a brand new Coleman Xtreme 70-quart cooler (spec'ed to keep ice for 5 days per the manufacturer). It's got two 3/8" x 50-foot stainless coils and two tap handles on the front. I used this ONCE and it worked flawlessly with no...

New Jersey Southern NJ - SS Brewtech Unitank 1/2 BBL w/ FTSS Heating & Cooling

For sale is my 1/2 BBL SS Brewtech Unitank conical fermenter with the FTSS heating and cooling packages. Will ferment under pressure – rated to 15psi. The entire setup was bought new and used about 6 times (by me) before I decided it was drawing my brewing focus too far into “equipment” and...

    Brew day today... dub batch.

Brew day today. Double batch on the Anvil Foundry 10.5g. Frickin love that system by the way. First up was an English Mild recipe from Brew Guru/ AHA. At 3.5% it’ll be an easy drinker. Hit all my numbers perfect and the wort tasted freakin amazing. Brown malt, pale chocolate. YES! Second batch...

New Jersey NJ / Philly - Anyone want a SS Brewtech Unitank? 14g

Have an SSBrewtech unitank with just about every possible attachment. 14gal. However I downgraded to 5 gallon batches and no longer need this large of a fermenter. Has the FTSS temp control package - heat and cool, the CIP ball. Leg extensions. The only thing I’d suggest you replace is the...

    Oxygenation through carb stone

Thought to use my SSBrewtech’s unitank carb stone to oxygenate. When i attempted this using a red O2 bottle from Home Depot it didn’t have enough pressure to push through the stone. Fail. tried two different bottles. Anyone do this successfully?

Waiting on DME to show up but it’s delayed. Anyone ever decant some cooled wort to make a starter with and then pitch back into the beer? 1.060 wort. I’m thinking it should work if i keep everything sanitary.

    1 gallon batch equip. advice

Hey all. Looking into doing 1gallon batches as a pilot system for recipes on my 10gal setup. Planning to use 1g wine jugs for fermentation (but open to other suggestions!). Looking for your experiences/ advice on equipment. Specifically: 1) Keg options for 1 gal? 2) Closed transfers from FV...

    Pilot batch setup

Hey all, After some recent failures with my standard 11g system I've begun considering building a "pilot" system to perfect recipes before putting them through the large system (where failure is more costly...). I'm shooting for a 5 gallon BIAB setup and hopefully something small enough that...

    First BIAB...

Long-time "3 vessel" brewer, except all I ever used (after a couple initial batches of extract) was an Igloo mashtun and a single pot. Tons of buckets and nonsense for batch sparging. Always looked forward to spending big $ on a 3-vessel system. Maybe I still will someday... Finally bought a...

(e)BIAB vs. 3-vessel - Give me your opinions!

Hey all - doing research on a future investment in a complete brewing system. I know I want it to be 30/ 50a electric and have been planning for 2 years on a 3-vessel system similar to @kal's design. Now I'm starting to consider eBIAB. Today I use a 10gal cooler mash tun and a 15gal Blichmann...

    Unitank/ CIP cleaning issue

Hey all. Recently I posted a thread on the one of the forums about a second batch in a row of beer that I had to dump. Same recipe, same yeast (though I split the starter, didn't harvest from the fermenter), same hops. Couldn't figure out what the issue was. So... dumped the second batch today...

What are y’all doing to get a leak-free seal? I’m banging my head over a few drips on a new tun.

Two dumpers in a row... what gives??

Hey all. Brewed up a second batch of the RR R2H56 clone after the first got infected. Unlike the first time I went straight through the whole mash/ boil brew day in one shot to avoid any unexpected kettle souring. Thanks to @IslandLizard for the input in the other thread. Anyway, batch #2 -...

    Carbing in a unitank

Have an SSBT unitank that i haven’t yet used the carb stone on. Wondering what other uni owners are doing for carbing? I have been doing <5psi pressure fermentation before kegging but am wondering if i should bother to use the carb stone before kegging as well. is there a “smart” way to carb to...
