Cooler mash tun bulkhead

What are y’all doing to get a leak-free seal? I’m banging my head over a few drips on a new tun.

Teflon tap the threads, and use the flat o-rings....

Though it may seem counter-intuitive, over tightening on a bulkhead can cause it to leak. Try backing things off a bit and see if that helps.

The correct bulkhead and or solution really depends on the type of cooler and what parts you already have. Pictures?

One of my mash tuns is a cheap, used blue Coleman.

I could never get it to seal correctly, whether I tightened it up, loose, teflon on the threads, etc. I eventually decided to get some food grade silicon and essentially caulk the leak closed.

I have never had a problem with that cooler since I did that, two years ago.
