Does anyone have any ideas on converting this kettle to eBIAB? What size basket should I get?

    Increasing strike water for adjuncts

The absolute worst stuck sparge I’ve ever had. Took me an hour and a half to get all the wort out of it.

Hey guys, grain bill will be 20 pounds and then I’m also adding 10 pounds of pumpkin into the mash. How much strike water should I use?

    Next step for fermenting?

Hey guys, I want your feedback to see what's the best next step (with considerations to finances). Right now, I have a kegerator that's not being used as such. Currently, I have a cream ale fermenting in there. So my question is should I return that kegerator to being a kegerator and spend a...

    It’s been a while.....

I am sad to say it’s been around a year since I last brewed. I am even more sad to say the last time I brewed, I never even transferred from fermentation to my keg! (Oh the humanity!!) Well, I’m in between nursing school semesters right now so what better time to brew? It was almost cathartic to...

    Beginner brew equipment

So you’re going to get two different answers on this forum (and honestly any hobby focused forum): 1. Here’s what you need to get started (Well under $150) 2. Here’s what you need but go ahead and buy this, this, that, and that for when you want to do bigger and better. ($150-$400) I began with...

How much do you oxygenate wort?

I have an in-line oxygenation stone right after my exchilerator so I aerate with 100% oxygen at 2lpm for the ten minutes it takes to transfer 10 gallons to my fermenter.

    Your best OMFG moments...

A few years ago, I wanted to brew a pepper beer because of how much I love Birdsong Brewery’s jalapeño pale ale. I have a west coast ipa recipe I brew multiple times a year so I decided to use that as my base. Well since I had no guidelines on how much pepper to use, how long to have it in the...

Which kettle is bettle (rhyme fail)

I brew 10-15 gallon batches, some being fairly higher gravity (6.5%-9.5%); all grain, cooler HLT and mash tun. I currently use a friends old 20 gallon aluminum pot that he is needing back from me borrowing so I’m looking at a new 30 gallon kettle. I have an old 8 gallon megapot that I brewed...

    Stainless CFC's Anyone?

Why does it have to be stainless. Try the exchilerator. It’s the best addition I’ve ever made to my brewing.

    what to brew next?

My favorite beer I brew for summer time.

    Oxygenation through carb stone

I have an in-line O2 stone attached to my counterflow chiller. So I go from 10 gallons of 212 degree wort to 70 degree fully oxygenated wort in ten minutes.

    Brewing on a time constraint

Just now commenting. What’s your ultimate goal? Is it a specific time? I currently brew all grain with batch sparging, 60 minute boil and a 10 minute cooling with my CFC. Beginning to end is 4.5 hours. If I did a no sparge extract brew, with my CFC, I’d be around 2.0 hours. How much quicker can...

Hey guys, so I’m in the market for a new fermenter. I’m wanting to step up my game in my fermentation world regarding temp control. So here’s my options: Buy SS Brewtech 14 gallon for $400 plus another $260 for their immersion cooler attachments. Or I buy this new 14 gallon Vevor stainless...
