    Lager Yeast Dump Frequency

I have two Grainfather Conical Fermenters and the manufacture recommends dumping yeast and sediment every 2-3 days. Experience with these fermenters shows when fermenting ales if this is not done the dump valve has a very hard time getting rid of the yeast and sediment. Can lager yeast be...

    Grainfather Conical Fermenter Owners Thread

Wanted to start a thread dedicated to the Grainfather Conical Fermenters. I have two Grainfather Conical Fermenters and their glycol chiller. No big complaints yet. I do have issues with the temperature controller correctly attaching to the fermenter. I end up having to use tape on each side...

    Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale

Just recently discovered Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. Unfortunately it will soon not be available so I did some searching for clone recipes. I did find a good amount of information on the beer. Below are two recipes I found. Recipe #1 closely matches what Steve Dreseler from Sierra Nevada...

Star San foam hiding keg level

Anyone have a good way of getting rid of Star San foam in your keg prior to filling it? I find that the foam completely hides the beer level in the keg and I can't tell when to stop filling. Not to mention the foam spilling out the top makes a mess.

    INKBIRD ITC-1000F Keezer Temp Controller

Putting together a ITC-1000F Temp controller for my keezer. Noticed most people don’t install a separate relay for switching the freezer on and off. The ITC-1000F relays are rated for 10amps. I have a Maytag 14.8 cubic foot freezer. Wondering if I should purchase a separate relay for...
