    Help, can't find leak

It took me like a year at a time for tanks to run dry but since I added a 4th keg I started having issues. My big difference was the 4th keg addition and the addition of a 3 way splitter. Lines have been changed. I guess the only thing I can think of is the keg but it's happening so slow and its...

    Help, can't find leak

Help me. I recently expanded my kegerator and keep going through co2 tanks way too fast. I for the life of me cannot find the leak. I have tried spraying potential leak locations and cannot find a damn thing. Only thing I can think of is a slow keg leak but I kept spraying the top of the keg and...

    Feedback on an APA recipe

Is dms really that big of an issue considering there is no pilsner malt? I mean brulosophy did their experiment and saw no flavor difference with best malz pilsner malt boiled for only 30 minutes.

    Feedback on an APA recipe

Ibus won't be a problem. I haven't bought the hops yet so once I find out the alpha acid content I can play around more and add bittering hops if need be.

    Feedback on an APA recipe

Looking to brew an APA and only recently really started to drink APAs so a little interested in some feedback on the following recipe. Also wondering if using El Dorado and Azzaca hops would play nice together. Always open to suggestions. Looking for that fruity hop flavor punch w/o much...

Why didn't I switch to electric sooner?

So the other night I just did my inaugural brew on my electric brew in a bag setup and this was honestly the easiest, quickest, most hassle free brew I have ever had. So glad I made the switch and huge thanks to everyone who gave me tips and info on the build of my system. Special shout out to...

    Easing into electric brewing?

Why not start with a brew in a bag type set up? Or maybe you can do some sort of setup where you recirculate mash between the kettle and cooler and then boil in kettle. That you initial start up cost would be the electric panel, a pump, and the element install on the kettle.

    Basement brewery build

Only need to buy some cam locks and tubing, blichmann riptide pump, and a biag bag before I am fully ready to go. Also probably need to look at a RO system so if anyone has any suggestions for one that won't break the bank I would love to hear it.

    Basement brewery build

I'm so close to being ready to brewing on my brew ebiab setup and I am getting a tad excited. Just competed the wiring on my panel the other day and did a dry run in which everything appeared to work as I expected!!!! So here is a few pictures of the panel on and the brewing room as teaser...

    Wisconsin Midwinter homebrew competition

I didn't enter a cider but entered a dunkelweizen (30.5), belgian dark strong (31), and an american wheat (31.5). So I was at least very consistent on my scoring.

My "sort of" budget 240v Ebiab build

So just thought I would update. Going to be moving into the new house in a couple weeks and getting closer to having my brew rig competed. Not so much a budget build anymore as I plan on getting the riptide pump and I ended up getting a new kettle from Bobby at brewhardware.com with all my stuff...

Curious question on threaded vs TC element

So I am planning on buying a 15 gallon kettle and having Bobby at Brewhardware cut the holes for my element/spigot/temperature sensor port for me and install the hardware. I was going to previously convert my 11 gallon bayou classic to electric which meant installing a TC port was a must to fit...

Switching to eBIAB and need help deciding on Kettle size

Thanks guys, sounds like 15 gallon is the way to go.

Switching to eBIAB and need help deciding on Kettle size

So I am in the process of switching to electric brew in a bag and am wondering whether I go w/ the 11 gallon Bayou classic or the 15 gallon bayou classic. I am actually going to have Bobby at Brewhardware put the kettle together for me (was going to convert my current 11 gallon bayou classic to...

2 Ventilation Questions for Indoor Electric Brewing

Ok, I have wondered how necessary that ventilation truly is. I wasn't planning on putting any fan in my upcoming electric brewing but my basement will be unfinished and I will be probably running a dehumidifier down there anyways. I figure I could always open the door going to the garage to help...

My "sort of" budget 240v Ebiab build

Might have to upgrade to the wilserbrewer bag then. I didn't realize there was going to be that big of difference. I am also contemplating upgrading the pump I have to the mark II that williams brewing sells. Would be nice to get one w/ a stainless head at a decent price.

My "sort of" budget 240v Ebiab build

Yea I have been debating on doing the wilserbrew bag but I also like giving local places business and ritebrew is only like a 25 minute drive for me. Plus I thought it might be worth trying for the price.

My "sort of" budget 240v Ebiab build

Do you have a ripple style element or a one of the straight fold over elements? I as planning on the ripple as it seems like the best choice to prevent scorching and is the lowest watt density.

My "sort of" budget 240v Ebiab build

It's an 11 gallon bayou classic. And it's about 13.8 inches. Just about every 5500 watt ripple element I have seen is 14 inches long.

My "sort of" budget 240v Ebiab build

I am well aware I can make things cheaper but I want to use a ripple element and the only way I can fit that my current kettle is to add the tc fitting. If I used a straight 5500 watt element I could fit that pretty easily and then wouldn't need the weldless tc port. Like I said it is a sort of...
