    Saaz Hops - Currently Unavailable

I've been searching for CZ Saaz hops for quite sometime and noticed that most suppliers are "out of stock" (as of this post). Anyone know what's the deal? Is this typical of Saaz this time of year? Do you know a place which has a fresh stock? or suggestions for an alternative hop? According...

    Camco element with cable disconnect

I saw your post on another thread! I just contacted this guy "Allen"; I hope he's trustworthy. He said he'd send me the welded ferrules too with 1.5" triclamps. How do you like the elements so far? are they really ULWD?

    Camco element with cable disconnect

I have two 5500w (240V) Camco 02964/5 elements and I would really like to create a quick cable disconnection like Bobby's from Brewhardware.com https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/element5500_ripple_tc.htm Rather than using these $50 housing enclosure units for each element...

    TC size for elements

I wonder if it is possible to purchase the white connection piece? I have a camco 02964/5; which have a charcoal look but they are SS, a much stronger 804 vs the 304/316 SS and has a greater life expectancy, but $40 vs $16 is still a difference. Again, if the white plastic connector can...

Bottom opening "Keg" Mash and Lauter

I definitely agree on the "sleepless nights" - as far as burning of the wort, I think it will be ok. I was more worried about burning of grains that would fall through the false bottom and into the pipe, but my burner opening is roughly 3.5in. (9cm) side note - I still need to build some...

Bottom opening "Keg" Mash and Lauter

Has anyone attempted to create a bottom opening for a keg rather than from the side? I'm thinking of a 1in opening on the bottom with an elbow on the outside and a valve. Idea: could be good for mashing with a false bottom already inside and then lauter out - with all SS pipes and welding...

    Shipping yeast - Xray fears

fedex says :"we cannot transport anything living!" seems a bit fishy... I guess we'll ship regular "snail mail" and see what happens. I'll make a 1 gal test run and check the attenuation - maybe I'll see giant mutations!!! haha

    Shipping yeast - Xray fears

dry yeast is a given. Im waiting now for a reply from fedex - I'll post their answer. As far as the led bag goes, that may be a neat idea...

    Shipping yeast - Xray fears

hey guys. I'm curious to know if any of you have had any luck, horror stories, or just good advice on shipping yeasts internationally? My main concerns are with the xray scans it may undergo. I've heard mutations occur and thus bad fermentation/floculation. I unfortunately live in a part...
