    Put my Wit Bier in the keg. Grav went from 1.046-1.012 in 3 wks. Having the keg setting out carbonating. I will put it in the refridg. next week and bottle the Lager.:mug:

    what I did today

    Put my Wit Bier in 2 fermm with a .046-.048. Had to put my Dry Irish Stout Lager in a the 45degr refrid because upstate NY is warm. My garage has been 51-57degr. :mug:

    yeast starter ?

    Doing a lager this weekend. It was suggested that I start the yeast first. It is clled, Danish Yeast. Not sure if I sure use the malt which is liquid, or the wort to start the yeast? If I use dry yeast, I use water.

    I use ale kits, But I don't want to use the yeast this time. I want to use lager yeast to try something diff. I tried it once before but, nothing happened in the first 24 hr. I sure I did everthing right. Did I not use enough yeast?Is there an amount of yeat that is good for 5gals?
