    extract kit, want to add some crushed grain.

    I have a northern brewers wheat kit and was thinking I have some chocolate malt 1 lb. How much? Don't do? Do? Would it mess with flavor in a negative way? Before I add or don't, im curious what others might think.

    grapefruit mead?

    Thinking about a grapefruit mead made from grapefruit juice and honey with an orange sliced up. Any suggestions on adding anything else like raisins currants or leaving them out and what would be the best yeast for something like this.

    fermentation stuck?

    Started cider on Monday morning it was going strong and now fermentation has slowed to about 3 bubbles a minute. Its only 4 days along. Should I repitch or rack in a day or 2 into a new carboy? I used lalvin 212 started @70 Degrees now its at 68.

    condensation in airlock problem?

    I seem to have some condensation in my airlock on the carboy side. It is bubbling away like crazy but I didn't know if this is normal.

    citrus juice!

    Has anyone tried adding orange juice or grapefruit juice to their primary? What would happen say if you did 2 1/2 gallons of cider and half a gallon of citrus juice? :mug:

    stir the cap down?

    Added currants to my primary, things are smelling good and bubbling away nicely. All the currants are floating on the top so should I stir them to move them around or just leave them alone?

    Adding currants to primary instead of raisin. Do you need to use campden first?

    Not sure if I can add the dried currants and pitch or if it would be safer to add campden first.

    Apple juice ingredients only say pasteurized?

    Went to fresh market bought a gallon of unfiltered apple juice in glass jug, only says pasteurized on label, is it safe to use for hard cider?
