stir the cap down?

Added currants to my primary, things are smelling good and bubbling away nicely. All the currants are floating on the top so should I stir them to move them around or just leave them alone?
 
I would stir. Standard practice seems to be 1-2 times dailey. Btw what kind of currants did you use?
 
The only time I'd recommend stirring outright is if the cap is thick enough that the gases are pushing it steadily up the sides of your primary - like it's gonna make it into the airlock.

The yeasties are eating sugar and farting CO2, both in solution (with your apple juices) and out of the currants. Yeast farts stick to fruit, fruit floats.
