    fermentation problem

    I used kölsh yeast in my latest home brew. Its been in primary for 10 days and has a decent amount of thick kraussen on it. I understand that it is a low flocculating strain of yeast so should I filter it to a secondary to get rid of the build up? I took a gravity reading and it is at 7% abv.

    White film on top of my beer

    Have an all-grain stout that has a white film laying on top of the fermenting beer. It has been fermenting just shy of 2 weeks. Is it completely lost or maybe just star San residue?

    24hr fermentation

    I currently have a 5 gallon batch of a maple pecan brown ale. I add the pecans from the beginning and leave them in through fermentation and add the maple syrup in the last 5 min of the boil.
