EBay fish tank controller build using Wal-mart parts

Not, sure. Are you telling me that I can't just wire the power cord b/w directly into the cool connections, and heater cord b/w directly into the heat connections?

EBay fish tank controller build using Wal-mart parts

Well, can't get my controller to power heat or cool side. I have attempted to reverse wiring for heat and cool with no change (white/blk) vs (blk/white) I have the controller programmed, heat light and both cool light turn on as programmed, but no power sent to designated cord. I do realize...

    Calling Electricians, Keezer build Q&A

Friends/electricians, I am pretty sure I already know the answer to my question , but thought I would go ahead and throw it out there. I am building a keezer out of a chest freezer. The hinged door has: -a light wired to the front of the lid and -a high temp alert on/off switch The wires are...

EBay fish tank controller build using Wal-mart parts

I ordered a couple. I can deal with Celsius, especially for the price. Anybody know the life expectancy of the Love, Ranco, Johnson Controllers, STC-1000? I have read where some of these fail after a few years. Might as well replace the $30 controller if I have to. Question, we don't want too...

Dry Hopping - anybody use tea balls/infusers?

I plan on just dropping the tea ball in and letting it settle to the bottom. Don't pack pellets too tightly into the ball, they expand. I did not plan on removing them. Any advice?

    Buy my beer because it's...colder?

With record setting heat in TX this summer, I would not mind actually being brainwashed into thinking the beer I am drinking is the coldest. OK not really, but you get the point. For someone who lives in hot TX, and has in the past received a bucket of beer that was not (in our opinion, cold...

    Buy my beer because it's...colder?

Most people where all average Joes at one point right? Most people started with what was cheap or advertised and then learned that there was more to life than just "lite". Unless you grew up next to a brewery; that would be an exception, of course.

    New to this

I am new too, so I am actually talking it out. I am pretty sure this is what happens, hoping a more experienced brewer chimes in. Keep us posted.

Don't you finish primary, then add a speific amount of boiled sugar water to your beer to create carbonation with remaining yeast? After adding the sugar to your (for example say 5 gallons), you use a bottle filler to ad a specific volume of beer to your bottles. I think you might be talking...

Never dump your beer!!! Patience IS a virtue!!! Time heals all things, even beer!

Today marks my beer's fourth week in the primary carboy, planning on not kegging until at least midweek or this weekend. That will make it almost 5 weeks in the primary, I did not want to rush things. So you are saying, the beer will age well at room temperature, but it will also age at serving...

Are you aging it longer at fermentation temp or at serving temp? both? If my batch comes out poorly I have some room in my beer serving fridge to let a keg sit for a while.
