    Regulator question

I misspoke on the 60psi, It reads around 60bar. I called beverage factory and they are sending a replacement low pressure gauge free of charge. I confirmed the regulator works. I have the tank hooked up with the adjustment screw adjusted about half way. I guess I can check to see what pressure I...

    Regulator question

I did tap it a bit and noticed it did go above 10 to the 12-15 range. I purged and noticed that it would not go below 10 unless I tapped it again. I think the low pressure gauge is the issue. I emailed The Beverage Factory about getting a replacement gauge. Not really sure if my keg has the...

    Regulator question

I kegged my first beer tonight, purged the oxygen from the keg, and when I went to increase the pressure, I couldn't get the low pressure gauge above 10psi with the adjusting screw all the way rotated to the clockwise position. The high pressure gauge is reading 60psi. Do I have a bad gauge on...

Sanyo SR361W 3.6 mini fridge kegerator conversion

After seeing a couple of threads on here of people converting their mini fridges with the freezer/evaporator units in the top, I decided to give my old college fridge a go. First thing I did was look for an online service manual. I found the model number on the back and googled it...

    Partial fermentation from Yeast Starter?

I'm currently fermenting an Oktoberfest in the primary and pulled a sample this morning prior to transferring to the secondary and only got a reading of 1.022. OG was around 1.052. I used a yeast starter from my last batch of washed yeast and was wondering if I didn't have enough yeasties in...

    3.3 cu ft frigidaire kegerator

I just bought a keg kit this Monday for my birthday. I've got a Sanyo 3.6 cuft fridge in my basement which I may try to convert now that I have seen this post. Did you tape the evaporator to the back of the fridge?

    Jockey Boxes, worth the investment?

I would use it at home, but mostly at the river during the spring, summer, and fall. It would be cheaper than buying kegerator amd would be portable.

    Jockey Boxes, worth the investment?

Anybody own one? I was thinking seriously about building one until I read that it is recommended that you ice the keg in addition to filling the cooler with ice. Is it possible to use a room temperature keg and get a cold beer out of a box with 50' coil? Also, anyone tried using dry ice?

Grain Milling Station Build and Questions

I would leave the fan on the motor and just use spacers to make the appropriate clearances for the motor. You could use a pack of door shims from your local hardware store.

    How to connect 2 shafts?

You'll need to buy a shaft coupling if you want to connect directly shaft to shaft. McMaster-Carr carries the size you need for $42. You can shop around with other industrial supply companies. Its rated for 4000rpm at 540in-lbs. http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/117/1162

    Cloudy Beer when cooled?

I cooled the wort in an ice bath. Probably took about 10 mins to get it down to temp to pitch my yeast. The beer tastes normal, I was just interested in what caused the cloudiness since its just my second batch.

    Partial Mash Mystery

I did my first partial mash yesterday and ended up at 1050 when the recipes OG was 1060. I didn't mix the wort well after topping off with water in the primary. I only shook the bucket with the lid on. My digital thermometer went haywire during the mash in the oven. 30mins in, it shot up to...
