    kegsmith thread adapter

And now you have set off down the road of kegging. I probably should have warned you, it can be addictive. I have kegged soda, beer, mead, wine, cider and the latest, countrytime strawberry lemonade, it was great! Of course, I know own way more kegs than I used to..... I usually buy from...

    kegsmith thread adapter

Why not just get a small corny keg? Torpedo kegs come in small sizes, and you can get a faucet and adapter for the post. Keg Faucet Adapter Assembly - Ball Lock

    Fermentation

Dry powdered or granulated additions give the CO2 somewhere to come out of solution. You put in thousands of tiny points for CO2 to form bubbles. The CO2 is in solution from fermentation, to the point of saturation. So this comes out as a volcano. Personally I would put all the ingredients...

Can you use Guinness Gas with hard apple cider.

Crank it to 50 psi and the carb level will be fine, you may need a 50 foot line to serve it. Assuming your taps will hold that pressure. Or with a larger diameter line you could serve 90 feet in the air... alright, no, not much good use. How about purges and lodo transfers, no oxygen in that...

    CO2 Serving pressure

I have lines that long, at 10 to 12 psi, 37F I get 6 to8 second pours. Low foam. I like the lines at about 1 foot per psi, I use 25 foot lines for root beer, and it still puts a head on it no matter how delicate you are. but I don't get a glass of foam.

    Need some electrical help

How about a pic of the foil side of the board? I would think cut the BUZ+ if nothing else attaches to it. If nothing else attaches to either buz+ or- then cut either of the visible wires for those. if you cut carefully you could solder it back later if needed.

What else do you "brew" (and keg non-alcoholic)

I always have 3 kegs on tap for the kids. I use mostly the extract bottles from Homemade soda company, or the lhbs. Right now I have Countrytime strawberry lemonade waiting to go in, it went fast last time. I have done hibiscus soda from dried flowers several times as well.

    Siphon with syringe

You need a catheter tip, it is a tapered tip, sanitize it, jam it into the syphon line and pull. With the taper it seals tightly. I have been using one of these for 3 years. Avoid getting stuff inside, and you don't have to clean, just rinse. If you clean too much it takes off the built in...

Need cleaning tips for 50' SS IC

Did you loosen the clamp at the top? Mine is only a 3/8". but I keep the clamp loose, fast chunk rinse in the sink and into my bucket of warm PBW that I use for everything else. If I lift one handle and shake up and down it bounces like a slinky, moving cleaner around well. Soak for 20 and...

    Hello for Michigan

Damn nice looking beer. I also like the glass, just took delivery of a case of those last week The beer will get better yet with time, it is still young. Now you are at the part where it gets expensive. You have success, so you can justify upgrades to yourself.:D It is great fun though...

    Reusing yeast

I prefer to clean the gunk off the walls, it is dried out and nasty. When harvesting yeast you get a lot more yeast, some of the calculators will tell you how much. I usually use a quarter cup of thick slurry. Think of your last batch as a huge starter for the next batch. But realize...

Wort/Beer line cleaners?? What would you recommend?

I buy PBW by the 50# pail as well. I keep an old 5# container and refill that occasionally, then hammer the lid back in place. I use picnic taps inside my keezer, so when they kick, I just pull the keg and line out. Wash out the keg on a Marks Kegwasher, then change to a different fitting and...

    % Alcohol cant be right?

Not trying to sound mean, but make your first investment in time. Spend that time reading. There are many good sites on the internet (and a lot of crappy ones too) about mead and beer and cider and so many other fermented drinks. A simple recipe is fine if it works, but as soon as it doesn't...

    Explosive fermentation

You could cut a hole in a squeaky toy and put that on the top. It won't work as an airlock, but you will know instantly if your fermentation slows, or becomes clogged. Or you could do the real blow off tube... I have one myself. Better to do the temperature lower, but if that is not possible...

    Pinball machines anybody?

Had super soccer since about 1990. The back glass for Stampede is currently out for restoration. Was thinking about a third one late last year but ended up in the hospital instead....
