I just bottled my latest batch of cider a couple days agand I hit 78 i believe on the 3rd or 4th day of the fermentation, and took me a while to get it down, but it had mellowed out considerably. I wouldnt worry at all.
Go to the hardware store into the lock section, and guarenteed you can find some sort of metal lock hinge contraption for pad locks. Then use tek screws (self tapping screws used to screw into sheet metal) to fasten it to the fridge. Probably the easiest solution.

Well you could continue using it, but how long do you think it will last like that until it grows? One tap the right way and you lose your next batch.
Id chuck it, definitely not worth the hassle.
