Thanks for the help guys. I went on vacation to south america and put this off a bit.
I put the apple juice in the first keg and it carbonated fine and is actually a bigger hit with my various guests than the beer was. It is indeed foaming way too much when I pour it though.
I'm going to go...
So I've had to cut back my alcohol consumption for health reasons and I'll no longer be drinking enough beer to warrant the two 5 gallon kegs for my kegerator. I was about to list it when I realized I might have another use for it. My wife drinks Martinelli bottles like water and I don't mind...
Found it here: http://www.bogmyrtle.com/
Ordered 4 ounces for 8 dollars. Only need an ounce or two per recipe so I should be good. :)
EBay seems to be the place for other herbs.

Does anyone know where I can get this? There are also some other herbs that are hard to get too.
Thanks
I still don't have an answer of what I brewed but time made it an awesome brew. Was just strange for me that it was bad right out of the fermenter when all other beers I've brewed were good as a flat beer before carbonation.

Also, I've never made this recipe before and have no idea...
I've been brewing for a few years and have always had a glass right out of the fermenter and it's always awesome. This time my Porter tastes extremely bitter. Will this mellow out and if so, how long? I'm certain I didn't burn it. It was a cheap anniversary sale recipe from AHS if that...
Ok, so I finally got the funds and went with the Danby today. After buying the kegs, upgrading the regulator, and shipping it was $840, I didn't want to breach $900 so I didn't go with the Kegco.
Hope I made the right decision!
Sooooo....I forgot to lift the bag when adjusting heat while mini mashing about 15 minutes into it. When i picked the bag up, it stuck to the bottom but I couldn't see the quarter inch hole so didn't know it was there. Finished the other 30 minutes of the steeping, sparged, emptied the bag in...
