    This is what I was thinking if the beer in question is a lager using lager yeast the "Cooling" should begin prior to pitching of the yeast not at bottling time.

    My Trappist Tripel has finally finished fermenting and it is in the fridge cold crashing. I will bottle it in a couple of days. I am planing to brew an American Pale Ale next. I am wondering if pitching the APA on the Wyeast 3787 cake from the Tripel would be advisable.

    Stuck Fermentation Belgian Tripple

    JBmadtown On 01/25 I swirled the fermentor and began raising the temp to the mid 70's on 01/27 the temp was in the mid 70's and there was more airlock activity. I checked the gravity on 01/29 it was at 1.033. I will check it again tonight and see if has moved .

    This beer was brewed on 01/10 OG was 1.074. Checked the gravity 01/29 it was 1.033. I will check it tomorrow again to see where it is at.

    Temp is now holding at 74 deg. F The air lock activity is steady. I took a gravity reading saturday it was 1.033. I will chec the gravity again tonight hopefuly it has started dropping. If gravity is not dropping should I repitch and if so what yeast should I use.

    I just bought Beer Smith and ran the recipe. Beer Smith suggest 1.050 OG I got 1.053. Is .03/.02 any thing to be concerned about?
