Alright guys, so I conceptualized my first ever original recipe and I wasn't to see what you guys think and get some tips, tweaks, and some feedback.
So to start, the mash consists of:
-11lbs 2-Row (US)
-3.5lbs Rye (US)
-.75lb Caramel/Crystal 10L (US)
-.75lb Caramel/Crystal 60L (US)...
What exactly is it that takes an ipa to a double ipa? Is it more of the specific hops or the same amount but brewed for longer or is it a completely different kind of hop all togethe . Thanks I'm advance!

The actual lemon or the lemonade? I think the first mead recipe I saw actually used reconstituted concentrated lemonade as the liquid base so I didn't think that would be a problem.
If you mean the lemonad all together, would you suggest just a tea base and add pure peon juice later or what...
