I thought I'd poll everyone here to see who has a keezer sitting on carpet and what you are doing to protect your carpet from spills... especially after you've had a couple ;).

I'm new to having a keezer setup and I was wondering what people set the keezer temp at and what they set their co2 pressure to?
Do you turn the co2 pressure up for force carbing to ensure enough carbonation then turn it down for serving?
I feel like I've been needing to do...
I'm not going to be able to pick up til next week but I'm definitely coming!
Hopefully my spot on the waiting list for the rebel mill will shortly move to the top so I can grind this stuff once I get it!

What I did and what seems like the consensus was cold brew the coffee which in my case was to take some coffee (ground to size for a french press) put it in my french press, add cold water and put it in the fridge overnight. Then I pressed it and added it.

Just thought I would give this thread a bump as thanksgiving is over and you should be on the watch out for turkey fryers on clearance. I bought mine a couple years ago after thanksgiving at target for less than $20 around this time. Good luck finding one!
I started with a small 6 quart one without gauges and it got the job done, I only recently updated to a big fancy one when a friend moved and gave me his.

Not trying to threadjack here but I am wondering if I am doing something wrong myself.
I mash for an hour. Then I batch sparge at 170-175 for about 10 minutes (usually twice to get the desired amount of liquid.)
My efficiency is a little low but I just chalked that...

I wanted to say that I followed the steps and made a successful frozen yeast bank. I just thawed and made my first starter and was wondering something. I went straight from my vial to about 1 litre of wort...
