Protecting Carpet from Spills

Hey all,

I thought I'd poll everyone here to see who has a keezer sitting on carpet and what you are doing to protect your carpet from spills... especially after you've had a couple .

I searched the forums and found this:

They suggested one of those hard plastic mats which seemed decent but I thought all the other Macgyvers out there might want to share their solutions

A drip tray underneath the taps should help lots too.
I would think that the rolling office chair mat mentioned would be an option. You could always look into trays/mats to go under washer/dryers or water heaters, or perhaps a shower stall bottom with the drain plugged. You could even try something like linoleum/formica.
Let us know what solution you come up with.
