    Folks, I just bought a portable CO2 charger and it has a threaded connection. My ball lock has a barbed connector, can someone tell me how to adapt the barb to the thread. It looks like it was meant to fit a Shrader valve.

    ok if this was beer I'd attach a blow off tube but I'm not sure what do. My first batch of wine (well EdWort's Apfelwein is really my first) is fermenting like crazy (Primary) and I have an airlock on it filled with Vodka. That's not working out so well, so I was thinking of attaching a blow off...

    Well it's a big beer and it sounds like you're a little high for the style. My last RIP was 1.091 and ended at 1.022, so it may have had a bit to go. Per Beer smith the FG range is between 1.018 and 1.034. Sounds like they're bottled, I never toss beer unless it's foul tasting, maybe keep them...

    Welcome ! try using the glass carboy for your primary. It's way easier to clean, plus you can watch your brew ferment. You may want to use a blow off tube however. This site has tons of useful info, you'll be hooked :)

    yup, I'll post once it's ready. Going to follow the clone recipe exactly to baseline it. I'll let you know how it came; I'm going to keg this one. Have to wait until next weekend though; I couldn't score hersbrucker hops at my LHBS.
