I'm no expert but I am pretty sure this is one of those relax, don't worry, have a brew situations. I would guess that at worst a miniscule amount of plastics cooked off into your beer but in a ten gallon batch I really doubt you will taste it, and I'm pretty sure you could eat one of those chip...

Also, I was driving by that hardware store in Chepachet once and stopped in. The kit they sell seems to be about one step above Mr Beer, and is in the aisle next to the home gardening equipment. Not exactly a Home Brew...
