    Yeast Concern

I just transferred my beer to the secondary and noticed something unusual about the yeast cake. It's like curdles instead of a cake like there usually is. I have pictures but I'm not sure how to add them. I didn't notice a ton of activity in the primary so I opened the bucket and there...

    DIY Ale Pail

Lowes now has food grade buckets. $4 for the bucket and $1.50 for the lids. Drill a hole for the grommet (< .50) and you have a nice new ale pail for considerable less than the $15 from the homebrew store.

    First Kegerator Build

Every teacher loves having a snowday! I had an extra bonus when my shipment from the keg cowboy arrived. If I can only find a way to get rid of my 3 and 1 year old today I could do some serious work on the fridge. A few more pics: Used some foil tape to seal off the area I had to cut...

    First Kegerator Build

I was thinking about doing this. I'm guessing the copper pipe would slide up into the tower. How did you get get it to stay in place? Did you add any more insulation to the inside the tower?

    First Kegerator Build

Finally got the ball rolling on this after the grind of the holidays. 2 corny kegs fit snugly, I had hoped to use one side for a commercial brew but with the added 1/4 in the width of the commercial keg, there's no way it fits in there with a corny. Not a big deal, I'll just have to brew...

My Experience With The Coors Lite Home Draft (Video)

I may have to throw in the towel on this one. After blowing through 2 CO2 cartridges, when I removed the 2nd cart the needle was stuck in the top. Tried to see if I could reattach it but it fell down the sink. The Miller Lite gods were frowning on the experiemntal use of their product. I'll...

5 gal commercial keg height with connection?

I'm in the process of building a kegerator and my plan is to have 1 for homebrew and the other for a commercial brew. Does anyone know the amount of height clearance needed for a commercial 1/6th barrel with the sankey tap connected? Cheers!
