Side Project in-house bottle model?
never been. not sure what you mean but I assume thats a bad thing?

I imagine he means they have bottles of former releases available for in house consumption only, likely at elevated prices compared to original release.

It's one of the ways SP is cutting down on secondary selling of its beers, and I think it's a good way to go about it.

Side Project can typically keep some "rarer" bottles for on site consumption by keeping the prices relatively high.

This was from late June 2017.

$50 for a bottle of Eek hurts a bit, but if it lets some folks who haven't tried it before the opportunity to try it now I can understand that. $12 for 8oz of Barrel Aged Dino'Smores (2014) is kind of the same deal, but I guess pretty much in line with Goose Island Brewhouse charging $8 for 5oz of Bourbon County.

Totally agree. On-site not only good to cut down on secondary, but also to ensure that something is available to a broader group of people for a longer period of time.

I cant afford to spend 50$ on a bottle.
So it becomes unavailable to people like me. I dont understand the pricing. Its just beer.

Gonzoillini If the case was to be made for allowing it to last longer, then they could achieve similar results by randomly releasing bottles for on site consumption, but still charge a more reasonable price.

Will still spend whatever it takes to get their new glass
and 9.99 on Tooth and Claw

I think that just means you want the glassware more than you want the beer. Which is fine. A beer is an experience, and a glass is something you get to take home assuming you don’t break it on the way to the car.

The glass isnt 50$

Its more so that I dont have any off color glasses but drink a lot of off color beer
