Hi, I just purchased Northern Brewers lord fatbottom extract kit and was wondering how many packs of us-05 yeast i should use? The og is 1.123

Hey todd0, thamks for the link, it looks like 2 packs of 11.5 gram us-05 will do it. Does this sound right?

In theory that will be enough yeast if you oxygenate enough and pitch at a good temp. I probably would pitch 3 with that OG though just to be safe. Dry yeast is cheap enough and I would rather over pitch than have it stall out. Just me and I'm sure others would argue against it..

I only have 2 and i am in the middle of boil, But i have some us-04 should i put one of those in also or just the 2 us-05
