At least, from carnivorous mammals. Carnivorous fish, reptiles, and even some carnivorous birds can be tasty.

Indeed. That was my intention, I love shark, snake, etc...but predatory mammals....yech.

I have eaten Mountain Lion. For the record, the meat from predators is not very good imho. I wouldn't eat a domestic cat unless the situation called for it.
While it is primarily a vegetarian and omnivore, bear meat is quite good.
just don't want to eat the rat!
Ya know? It pisses me that you guys can even talk about eating cat.......I LOVE steak and kidney pie! But as soon as I even mention the kidney word? Everyone in the US seems to think I'm some kind of offal eating retard. I LOVES me S&K pie.....
Cat? get over it! Kidney? get over it! American food is bland....there, I said it!
Don't know about that, but it would thumb its nose at you and ignore you as you ate it.So if bear, dear, carribou tastes gamey...Would cat then taste homey?
*rimshot*
Right, cause the Brits are known for their flavorful culinary offerings.
Gnome, eating in Ohio can hardly give you an idea of American food, but I suspect you know that.

Yeah, I understand that. I also have to apply the same theory to just about every other aspect of American life. It's a huge country with a lot of diversity. I'm looking forward to one day getting out more and seeing some more of it......And possibly leaving Ohio for EVER!!!
I have been in Ohio and it is in no way representative of the coasts.
BEER ROASTED CAT
1 cat cut into roast
1 can of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup
1 cube of beef bouillon
1 clove of garlic
1 Fine Irish Stout, a lot like a popular dark Irish Beer®, but NOT that brand at their lawyers' request. They alledge this article, educating others in the legal eating habits of over 100 million people world-wide, and specifically in rising East Asian markets, is "highly offensive."
Cover and soak cat roast in salt water for 24 hours. Drain water and then cover and soak in beer for 6 hours. Drain and place in crock pot with your cans of soup. Add a clove of garlic, and a cube of beef bouillon. If you start to slow cook your cat in the morning with your George Foreman Cooker (or it's ilk), you'll have finely cooked feline in time for supper.
If a slow cooker is not available, a cat can be baked at 350 degrees for 2-3 hours in a conventional oven and still come out pretty good. Beer Roasted Cat is fantastic served with mashed potatoes, collard greens, and fresh, homemade egg rolls. When planning a full meal just remember- cat is a course best served hot!
Skinned Cat Cat may not be the most glamorous, or tastiest of game meats, but with a little thought and preparation, Baked Cat can make the belly of the persnicketiest diner glow with home baked goodness.
unless of course, it's fish......or cat.For the record, the meat from predators is not very good imho
Umm, you know one other thing that rhymes with cat....SCAT. Enjoy your $hit sammwich.
I managed to get to the Mass. coast a couple of years ago.....LOVED it! I would still be there if the missus hadn't hit me over the head with a shovel and bundled me into the car.
I wonder which is the best part of a cat? They tend to be a bit skinny for my tastes
