I'm making a big starter for an Oktoberfest I'm brewing in the next couple of days with WLP830 German Lager. I pitched two vials into a 2.2L starter on a stir plate about 18 hours ago but I see no activity at all in the starter. Not even a hint of krausen. I did notice that my stir plate threw the bar sometime in the middle of the night, so it could have been off for a max of around 6 hours. Anyway, I'm planning to just give it more time. I'm just a little unsure since normally my ale starters are erupting at this point. I'm new to lagers and I know the regular fermentations take longer, but I hadn't read anything about slower starters. So is there anything I should know or be worried about here?

Also, for reference the vials' best before date was 10-10-12.
