This is my second all extract brew and I'm assembling the ingredients by myself this time (My first was a Mr. Beer porter). How does this look?

(4 Gallon Boil)

2 lbs Briess Golden Light malt extract
2 lbs Briess Golden Light malt extract (at 10 min)
1 lb Briess 10L Crystle malt (Steep 30 min @ 155)
1 lb Honey (at 15 min)

1 oz Cascade @ 60 min
.5 oz Cascade @ 35 min
.25 oz Cascade @ 15 min
.25 oz Cascade @ 5 min

WLP001 California Ale Yeast

5 Gallon Final

with the crystal 10, it should remain pretty light, probably a light amber color. The cascade additions will give it a mild bitterness, and light aroma. The honey will thin the body, and give a slightly dry finish.

It will definatley be a beer. probably pretty tasty at that. Ferment the California Ale Yeast arround 66-68.

be careful with your cascades. The cascades I've been getting lately are 7.5%AA rather than the default 5.5% used by beersmith. It will be a dramatically different beer. Also, add the honey either during primary fermentation after it is nearly dry or at flameout for maximum honey character.

well, I have 1 oz of cascade leaf @ 8.7%AA and 1 oz of Cascade pellet at 7.5%AA. Ill have to put it into beersmith to figure out the addition amounts and times. what is the IBU average for hybrid blond/pale ale?

ok so here is what it looks like:

.25 oz cascade (7.5%) @ 60 min
.25 oz cascade (8.7%) @ 45 min
.25 oz cascade (7.5%) @ 30 min
.25 oz cascade (8.7%) @ 15 min

= 20 IBU

That won't give you any Cascade aroma if you want any. Since it is a nice aroma hop, I would either add a 0.5 oz addition at 5 minutes or use 0.5 for dry hopping.
