Whole Hops--Are they bad?

Smell carefully for a faint cheese aroma....the sign that they fail the freshness test. If they have been frozen for six months, then they are probly fine.
 
They were actually at room temp the entire time which is why i'm not certain they should be used. They smell fresh, no cheese smell, but some of the leaves are browned a little.
 
Leaving at room temp is about the worst thing you can do. How were they stored?

6 months vacuum packed = 25% loss of AAs

6 months poly bag = 40% loss of AAs
