When is the best time to ad Maltodextrin?

I bought a kit and i just started brewing and in the instructions there is no mention of when to ad the Maltodextrin. Its a milk stout.

Add it to the boil anytime. Ditto the lactose, if there is any.

Honey is one of the few adjuncts where timing is important. Pure sugars, doesn't matter.
