Say, anyone know if rye is malted? I'm thinking about going balls out on an anarchy brew. 33% wheat, 33% corn, 33% rye and using a farmhouse or saison yeast then simcoe/amarillo/cascade/sorachi ace-ing it out! The problem is getting enough enzymes to convert starches. In a thread last week i was informed that wheat is malted and you can get malted corn. What about rye? Anyhow, this brew could be great or it could be just tragicly in need of being run through a still to "recover" lost alcohol, HAHA!!
