Bought a CO2 tank some time ago, and I'm trying to find out what's in it. I'm not sure if there is Nitrous Oxide or CO2 in it. What can I do to find out what is in it?

Why do you think it has nitrous oxide in it? If its been commercially filled, then it should be properly labeled.

What he said^

Seriously, a Co2 tank should not have nitrous in it. And if it's not a C02 tank, then you should be asking, should I use it? Will anyone fill it?

^^ what both of them said, gas is highly regulated and the label will tell all. Bring it to any supply place to get it checked if you're unsure.

to make a long story short there were no lables on the tank that i could see could not find tera weight.there were some sanke keg dispensers attached.gas dealer said he had no idea how this tank got filled.so i bought a new 10pound tank and regulator. now i am force carbing beer right now.
