I know in the US this is illegal, but in other countries, why not make your bad batch of beer (or contaminated beer) into hooch:

With some of our existing equipment slightly modded, we can make our own distilleries.

A pressure cooker, a cooler based condenser, and a carboy are all it would take.

By "bad batch," do you mean an infected beer or a bad tasting beer? If the beer is infected there is nothing that can be done, it should be dumped. If the beer is bad it might result in the magnification of certain flaws, for example diacetyl. If something is bad, it's bad and it may be hard to fix it but it's not worth the trouble most of the time. You can't make a good eisbock out of a flawed bock.
