I have a Frigidaire freezer and my electronic control panel failed rendering the chamber useless. Apparently this is very common and happens around the 2 yr mark. Instead of paying for a service or considering to buy a new one, I found the electrical wiring diagram on the back of the freezer and went to work.
By using the wiring diagram, I wired the compressor and the fan + leads together and then plugged it all back into my Auber temp controller. By doing it this way, I was able to bypass the frost free heater that would come on due to design.
Parts and labor
1 electrical wire cap
1 3 inch piece of electrical tape
5 minutes of labor.
Highly recommend hacking your freezer and bypassing the original control panel completely.
Hope this helps someone out there.
