what gives silky mouth feel in a porter

I am specifically talking about the mouthfeel of Founders Porter. That is the mecca of. Porter as far as I'm concerned.
I have brewed several porters and none have the silky smooth character I like about Founders.

Have you ever tried rolled oats in your mash?

They use wool sacks to mash in.

For my part I'll suggest favoring chlorides in your water profile. Also since he mentions dark crystal that makes me think British with the specialty malts.

Oats! Maybe a higher mash temp to get a less dry, more body in your beer.
