I know IPAs made with Crystal malt are way out of style on both ends of the spectrum, but GD it I love them. Kudos to Sierra Nevada for being stuck in the 80s for a lot of their beers.

They're such beautiful beers. If Torpedo ever gets discontinued and/or replaced with another fruit beer or hazy IPA, I'm gonna jump off a cliff.

Just curious. Did you go with an Altbier yeast? I’ve always wanted to do at least a middle aged Rasputin.

Hello! I actually used Fermentis Dry: Safale S-04 both times I’ve brewed it, and I am really happy with how they have turned out. And actually it’s a kit from MoreBeer.com.

I just noticed when I was washing my Flyover Brewing glass that there is an airplane etched in the bottom to create nucleation sites. I thought there was crud stuck in the bottom until I looked closer.

I know this is a beer forum, but I want to point out this great and extremely useful app for wine called Vivino. Its free. You take a picture of your wine label and it will tell you everything you want to know about that wine. You can rate and review wines. I paid a little extra and got a cellar function where I can keep inventory of what I have on hand. It also will do wine lists in a restaurant to rate the wines on the wine list. Its a great app and I learned all about wine using it. No affiliation, just a very happy user.

Wednesdays are movie nights with friends (not every Wed), and also it's Guinea pig night for new brews. In order...

HB Wheat - made to style (turned out nice)

HB Red Ale - last of the bombers (really a fan of this)

HB Imp Stout - big bold stout without the booze punching you in the face (happy camper with this one)

Thanks.

I'm curious if there's an app for keeping track of beer in your cellar.

It seems easy but I couldn't find anything out there centered on beer cellaring when I searched around years ago

This is the first beer I have legged myself. Ace of Spades IPA extract kit from NB. I still have not moved to AG yet, baby steps with kegging now in the Arsenal. I am pretty excited about this kegging thing now….yep it is the small things in life hahaha. One tap has Cigar City Jai Lai IPA and the other has my HB black IPA.
