I put up a batch of Centennial Blonde all grain today and used Danstar Nottingham Dry Yeast for the first time, I usually use WLP.
There is Airlock Activity after 1 hour in the fermenter, is this normal with Dry Yeast? WLP can take up to 30 hours to bubble.
Will I need a blow off tube for such a low gravity recipie?

If its in a bucket you should be fine with no blowoff.

The only thing that has started faster than dry yeast for me is brewery slurry.

I've never used White Labs yeast, but every time I pitch in Wyeast I see active fermentation sign in under 18 hours. Less than 12 if I make a starter (becoming the norm for me), and sometimes even as little as under 2 hours (post lag indications) with a foam sculpture in the airlock in under 6 hours. YMMV

IF I'm unsure of how much room the brew will need, or I've not used fermcap in the brew, then I tend to have a blow-off tube either standing by, or installed for the first few days. After that, it's usually calmed down enough that I don't need it...
