So I just came across about 50 of the 750ml Welch's sparkling grape juice bottles. Has anybody used them to bottle their wine? Can they even be used for this? I assume since they were holding pressure, they are just a champagne bottle but they have screw tops. Since they have screw tops, how do I seal them? Some of the bottles still have the screw tops but most do not. Thanks for the help!

I have corked screw top bottles with no problem if your making a still wine it should be fine

When I first started out with mead and wine I purchased 12 packs of S. Pellegrino sparkling water which are like those with the screw caps. I would use the normal caps and wax them.

Update: I used number 9 corks on these bottles and every one of them sealed fine with no problems.
