Water filter question????

I just built a water filter for brewing purposes but i want how long the 2 micron filter i install inside it will last. well more like how many gallons. since the packaging states 3 month filter. but i figure that's for constant use not for my brewing purposes. so how long do you figure i can use it before changing the filter?

Do you have specs?

It all depends on the condition of the water feeding it. Feed it a mud puddle and you will kill it right away.

My .5 micron filter has had more than 60 ten gallon batches run through it over the last two years. Still works fine.

The flow will slow down when it needs replacement. I used it today to brew at work, and the dirty water we have here caused it to slow considerably. I guess I'll be replacing it soon.

oh ok thanks. we have pretty clean water here so i guess ill have it for awhile plus the pack came with 2 filters so am set. thanks again!!
