Vodka in airlock?

I ferment in a Sanke with 12" opening at top. I just loosly lay a piece of plexi over the hole and quazi open ferment all my beers....yes, I even lager like that

Since I top off with bottled water and that is what is already in my brew, that is what I fill the airlock with.
