I’ve got an oktoberfest that’s been in the fermenter 5 weeks. I was just getting ready to keg it today and noticed this strange film in part of the surface. You can see some globs of yeast and some bubbles, but what i am seeing is a faint white film. Does this look infected to anyone else. A couple weeks ago I was monkeying around with it and managed to get some of the vodka in the airlock in the beer, perhaps that caused it. This photo is taken from through the side of the fermenter. I haven’t opened it yet. I am using a flashlight to highlight it, otherwise it’s not that apparent.

Even if it is infected, you should proceed as usual.

Though infections might ruin the taste, sometimes they add a pleasant sourness to the beer.

But you won't know till everything else finishes doing what normally goes on and you taste it.

Few infections are toxic.

Thanks everyone! I had never heard the term yeast rafts.
